Stands for Jobs:
People and families in Adams County are struggling financially and it’s not getting better. According to recent polls, over 80% of people in our community are unemployed, personally know someone who is unemployed, or are concerned about losing their job.
It doesn’t have to be this way. As a small business owner for over 20 years, I’ve personally experienced the frustration and difficulty of starting and running a business and this frustration grew when State Government implemented policies that made it harder for me to expand my business and create more jobs.
I have the real life experience to get Colorado families back to work.
If elected, I will stand with our small business owners, who are our job creators, and support pro business pro growth policies that make it easier for them to expand and create jobs.
Stands for Equal Opportunity in Education:
Our current public education system in Colorado is failing our kids and putting their futures at risk. Our kids deserve better. No child should be forced to attend a failing school simply because of their address or their financial situation. But this is currently happening to thousands of kids in Colorado.
As someone who cares deeply about our Country’s future and who has developed youth coaching programs, I am greatly concerned about how unfair our current educational system is to our kids, especially those who are forced to attend these failing schools. Schools need to be accountable to parents and parents need to have the option to move their kids out of these failing schools. This will help ensure all kids have an equal opportunity for a quality education.
If elected, I will stand with our kids and you, the parents, to allow for equal opportunity in education. By doing this, we will finally improve education for all our kids.
Stands for a Government Accountable to People:
Government at all levels has grown too large, spent our money like a blank check, and worst of all, has grown out of touch with its citizens. As a result, citizen’s approval ratings of our elected officials are at an all time low and several people have lost confidence in our Government’s ability to serve the people.
I am personally tired of reading Denver Post articles detailing the numerous scandals from our local Adams County politicians. Likewise, I am tired of hearing about the gridlock in Washington.
From the age of 11, my father instilled in me the concept of hard and honest work. While I can’t do much about the gridlock in Washington, if elected to the Colorado State House, I can and will be a voice for the hard working citizens of Adams County that demand responsible state spending, more transparency, and accountability within the Colorado State House.
